Alex is a multiple-time AI software and consulting entrepreneur. His was a founder at Vivid Edge (web consulting, sold to Framfab), Touch Clarity (machine learning optimization, sold to AdobeOmniture), and Cognitive Match (sold to Magnetic), and a leader at Magnetic (sold to Deloitte), Deloitte Digital (Global CMO) and Advantage Solutions (Chief Data Officer). He deeply believes in the transformative combination of human and machine, leading him to founding Quantum Rise together with business-services investment leader, Erie Street Growth Partners. Alex has a BA Hons in Experimental Psychology from Oxford University.
Justin Bass is the Chief Technology and AI Officer at Quantum Rise, where he leads a team focused on cutting-edge technology and AI projects. Throughout his career, Justin has demonstrated cross-industry expertise, developing AI and machine learning solutions for a diverse range of industries, ranging from heavy manufacturing, healthcare, forensic accounting, and just about everything in-between. Before Quantum Rise, Justin was the Senior Vice President of Engineering at Advantage Solutions, managing all engineering software development globally. He played a key role in modernizing systems and standardizing tools, supporting 100,000 associates and supporting $4 billion in annual revenue. He previously served as the Senior Vice President of Data Engineering at ZoomInfo, where he led the global data organization, focusing on analytics, data engineering, and data science. Justin holds two patents for machine learning software, with one in healthcare and one in tax accounting, showing an ability to adapt cutting-edge ML software to any domain. Justin earned his Executive MBA from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Michael Latiner is the Chief Financial Officer at Quantum Rise, bringing extensive experience as a senior executive advising technology enabled services companies. Michael has held leadership roles at both SaaS and professional services firms where he led operational improvement initiatives and has an extensive background in capital raising, corporate development, and mergers & acquisitions. Michael holds an MBA from the University of Chicago and a BA from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
Josh Kohn currently serves as Vice President of Operations at Quantum Rise, where he leverages his background in artificial intelligence and people management to drive operational excellence. Prior to joining Quantum Rise, Josh held various leadership roles at PathAI, including Associate Director of Program Management, where he was instrumental in managing cross-functional teams and timelines to improve patient outcomes through AI-powered pathology. He also brings experience from his time at ProPharma Group and Ventana Medical Systems, where he excelled in project management and strategic process improvements. Josh is PMP certified and holds an MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management.
Melissa Smith is the Head of Sales at Quantum Rise, where she leads sales strategy, client relationship management, market opportunity identification, and revenue growth. She collaborates with leadership and consulting teams to ensure alignment with the company’s goals. Melissa’s career spans B2B SaaS sales and consulting, with prior success as a co-founder of a sustainable fashion marketplace and executive roles at Impact Networking, where she helped drive growth from $20 million to $160 million in revenue. She holds a BA in Communications and a business certificate from the University of Wisconsin Madison. Passionate about forging genuine connections and strategic partnerships, Melissa thrives on educating others and fostering collaboration. Outside of work, she’s a cryptocurrency enthusiast, St. Louis Cardinals fan, and is currently on the lookout for her next rescue dog.
Kayla Kauffman is an accomplished marketer currently serving as the Marketing Director at Quantum Rise. She brings extensive experience in leading high-performing, cross-functional teams that drive growth through strategic brand building, lead generation, and performance optimization. Kayla thrives on the challenge of working with startups and fast-growing companies, turning their marketing visions into impactful realities. Before joining Quantum Rise, Kayla was the Marketing Director at CityBase, where her leadership was instrumental in fine-tuning inbound demand generation, optimizing integrated marketing campaigns, and elevating brand visibility. Kayla holds an MBA from Tulane University.
